Major Aerospace Contract Win
NHE has been awarded a major long-term contract by BAE Systems for the supply, installation and ongoing support of key automatic processing lines. The contract centres on the supply of two fully automatic systems – one an anodising and chemical processing line, the other a fluorescent inspection facility.
“We are delighted to have won this important contract for such a major manufacturer in the aerospace sector,” comments NHE’s Sales Director, Will Green, “as it reflects our full range of capabilities from design, manufacture and installation to service, training and long term support.” The project is an important part of BAE Systems’ involvement with Lockheed Martin on the F35 Lightening II Fighter programme.
The project, which will be undertaken over an initial two-year duration and has a value in excess of £6million, will see the NHE processing lines installed at BAE Systems’ premises in Samlesbury, near Blackburn, Lancashire. It is part of an ongoing programme of upgrade and development at the site.
